Upper Oxbow Ranch is built and operated on a dedication to intensive wildlife management. Our goal is to provide habitat and opportunity for all of our game and non-game species to reach their full potential. One of our main goals on the ranch is to improve the genetic quality of our whitetail deer herd. In response to this goal, in 1994, we obtained our scientific whitetail breeding permit. Ever since, we have been producing exceptional genetics and large deer for release on to our ranch.

Through our efforts to stock our ranch with the best genetics possible, we have developed a breeding program, that today, is helping other breeders and ranchers produce the same great results. We are committed to this success and continue to build upon our original goals.

At Upper Oxbow Ranch, we are dedicated to our program and the integrity at which we operate. We have a state of the art breeding facility and go to great lengths to ensure the health and reduce the stress of our animals. Our deer receive, on a regular basis, the latest in animal vaccines and medicines.

We run our breeding operation the same in which we operate our other businesses, thorough and meticulous. Our detailed record keeping is important to us and allows to follow and match up the best genetics possible. Our DNA testing program is also very import. It allows us to ensure our customers they are receiving the top quality genetics they purchase from our program.

Our original bloodlines at Upper Oxbow Ranch were derived from Robert Williams (Double Drop ) blood line and Bill Martindale ( Big Tex ) bloodline. With this foundation in place we have produced many exceptional deer. This includes 20/20, 12/12, 10/10, Hoss, and now 20/28 and 20/10.

We have recently added additional genetics from Soaring Eagle, Silver Storm, Oscar, Mighty Mouse, Monkey, and Tuff Stuff. All of which are top genetics from around the country and will compliment well, the outstanding genetics already found within our breeding program.

At Upper Oxbow Ranch we are currently building three different types of blood lines, a pure Texas line, Texas Northern cross ( large non typical), and clean tall tined typical. This breeding strategy is important to us and allows us to help all our customers by offering them a variety of genetics to help improve their deer herds.
