From the beginning Montgomery Prpoerties Ranch has strived to acquire only the top genetics from some of the most renown Whitetail Breeders across the Northern United States, as well as, here at home in Texas. Breeders like Gary Machen, Gene Riser, Tommy Dugger,and Lee Wheeler are synonymous with a legacy of producing outstanding Whitetail deer year after year.

These top Whitetail producers were the foundation of our breeding program starting back in 1988 when we became Scientific Breeders. From that beginning up through today the impact of those top genetics can be witnessed in our breeding pens and in the pasture by the "No Shoot" bucks that have been released on the ranch to live out their lives as "Breeder Bucks".

Beginning in the fall of 2001 we decided to raise the bar higher through artificial insemination. Those first A.I. fawns are maturing and they look outstanding! With those fawns being sired by some of the largest whitetail bucks in the country, the wait "to see what happens" is tremendously exciting!

With genetics from top deer like Maxbo, High Roller, Shorty, Texas Sam, Sawblade, Thunder, Redoy Remington, Thunderstorm, Blitzen, Buford, Avalanche, and so on, you can't help but tremble with excitement. These genetics have afforded us the opportunity to build upon and improve our breeding program and we are seeing great results. Our younger deer are proving to be shining stars with several scoring between 180 and 210 B&C at 3 years old.

We continue to vigorously pursue our breeding program to improve the genetics within our pasture, as well as, the pastures and breeding pens of our customers. At Montgomery Properties Ranch, we are comitted to growing big deer. And in efforts to continuously produce top notch genetics, we feel it is pertinent to implement a breeding program that has a clear focus on animal husbandry and detailed record keeping.

Our deer are handled in a manner that offers them the least amount of stress as possible. We take great care to ensure each animal receives regular vaccines and medications, as well as, proper nutrition. In handling our deer we make sure that we give them everything they need, and collect as much information as possible, so that we can reduce the amount of times that we have to actually handle the deer.

Some of the information that we collect, includes pulling hair for DNA testing. This is very important to our breeding program and allows us to make informative breeding decisions, as well as, offer our customers a certified detailed pedigree at the time of purchase.
